OUR SERVICES

With a wealth of experience in constructing pile foundations, retaining walls, and slip repairs, Pole Specs delivers an all-encompassing array of services and expertise in this specialised field.

RETAINING WALLS

Retaining walls are used to support land at risk of slipping, or to support a structure that is being built on sloping ground. They can also be built to create a level platform to make unlevel land flat and useable. Retaining Walls, or structures take on many forms, timber pole walls, Keystone (or other small block) walls, large block (gravity) walls, Steel I beam and timber walls, Concrete shotcrete walls, and MSE, Mechanically Stabilised Earth walls are all types of retaining walls we specialize in.

SLIP REPAIRS

Landslides, also known as slips or landslips, occur when the ground collapses, slides, or flows down a slope. They can consist of natural rock or soil, as well as artificial fill materials. The primary causes of landslides are typically attributed to heavy rainfall or seismic activity such as earthquakes. Factors such as growing population, alterations in land-use patterns, and increased development can exacerbate the effects and expenses related to landslide occurrences.

PILING

The construction method known as piling involves driving structural piles into the ground or pouring concrete columns with reinforced cages to serve as the foundation for a building or structure. Piles are necessary in areas where the soil is unstable, helping to distribute the building's weight and stabilize the ground. This method is a cost-efficient way to prevent corrosion and enhance the longevity of a structure.

FOUNDATIONS

Structural foundations consist of elements that transfer construction loads to the soil, preventing stress overload and failure while providing stability during soil settlements. These are normally steel reinforced concrete beams

We have an extensive inventory of construction equipment, ranging from 1.8 tonne to 30 tonne excavators with all the suited attachments for any job. Whether light or heavy machinery are required, we are well-equipped to handle the challenges of your project.

OUR METHODS

Prior to embarking on any project, we devote ourselves to fostering strong alliances with councils, engineers, material suppliers, and subcontractors, guaranteeing a smooth and efficient operation from start to finish. The expertise of our team isn't something you'll find in any textbook; it's the product of our commitment to nurturing and sharing knowledge within our organization. At the commencement of each endeavour, our Construction Manager takes charge of resource management, quality control, workflow coordination, and scheduling, all while fostering positive relationships within the community. Our unwavering commitment to excellence is reflected in our exclusive use of quality-assured materials, with onsite inspections conducted by engineers and adherence to council verification standards.

Each project benefits from the oversight of experienced supervisors who collaborate closely with the business principals, ensuring strict adherence to elevated standards and unwavering attention to detail throughout every phase of the process.

We prioritize regular gatherings where ideas are exchanged, and methods are reviewed during weekly meetings. Communication lies at the core of our operations, exemplified by equipping all our foremen with mobile phones for seamless communication with engineers and supervisors. We continually assess our staff's technological requirements to ensure swift and efficient decision-making when the need arises.

To maintain meticulous control over material usage, we meticulously document all transactions at our Silverdale yard, tracking each item by order number. On-site activities, including machine hours, concrete quantities, and drill meters, are diligently recorded by the foreman daily. Prior to invoicing, thorough cross-referencing and verification are conducted between the worksheet, logbook, and supervisor's diary to guarantee accuracy and accountability.
